পশ্চিমবঙ্গ জুড়ে উদ্বেগজনক পরিস্থিতি তৈরি হয়েছে। রাজনৈতিক প্রতিহিংসা আর সংঘাতের আবহে প্রশাসনিক ব্যর্থতা চরম আকার ধারণ করেছে, মঙ্গলবার রাতে সমাজমাধ্যমে পোস্ট করে বিজেপি প্রশাসনের বিরুদ্ধে তোপ অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের (Abhishek Banerjee)। যেভাবে তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের (TMC)কর্মীদের টার্গেট করা হচ্ছে, ক্রমাগত আক্রমণ, হিংসা, হুমকির মুখে পড়তে হচ্ছে সেখান থেকেই স্পষ্ট যে এক ভয়ঙ্কর সময়ে পৌঁছেছে বাংলা। আইনশৃঙ্খলা তলানিতে, প্রশাসনিক ব্যর্থতাকে তীব্র আক্রমণ তৃণমূলের সর্বভারতীয় সাধারণ সম্পাদকের।

সামান্য ডেপুটেশন জমা দিতে গিয়ে যেভাবে বিজেপির দুষ্কৃতীদের হাতে আক্রান্ত হতে হয়েছে হুমায়ুন কবীর থেকে উপাসনা চৌধুরীদের, তার তীব্র নিন্দা এবং ঘটনার প্রতিবাদ জানিয়ে সমাজমাধ্যমে (Social Media Post) ডায়মন্ড হারবারের সাংসদ লেখেন, 'একজন প্রাক্তন আইপিএস অফিসার হুমায়ুনকে থানার ঠিক বাইরেই প্রকাশ্যে নৃশংসভাবে মারধর করা হয়েছে। যে প্রতিষ্ঠান সাধারণ মানুষকে সুরক্ষা দেওয়ার জন্য তৈরি, তার এমনই যদি এমন হামলা হতে পারে, তবে সাধারণ মানুষের নিরাপত্তার দায়িত্ব কার— সেই প্রশ্নই এখন সবচেয়ে বড় হয়ে দেখা দিয়েছে। উপাসনার পোশাক ছিঁড়ে ফেলা হয়, গাড়ি ভাঙচুর করা হয় এবং বাড়িতে বয়স্ক বাবা-মা থাকা সত্ত্বেও সজোরে পাথর বৃষ্টি করা হয়। এটা নোংরা রাজনীতির চরম নিদর্শন।'অভিষেক স্পষ্ট করে দিয়েছেন যে, রাজনৈতিক মতপার্থক্য কখনই হিংসা ছড়ানোর লাইসেন্স হতে পারে না।
দীর্ঘ পোস্টে প্রশাসনের ভূমিকার কড়া সমালোচনা করেছেন অভিষেক। তাঁর কথায়, হিংসার মুখে নীরবতা নিরপেক্ষতার ইঙ্গিত দেয় না। বরং প্রশ্রয় দেয় ভীতি প্রদর্শনকে। তৃণমূল সাংসদ মনে করিয়েছেন, দলমত নির্বিশেষে প্রত্যেক নাগরিককে নিরাপত্তা সুরক্ষা দেওয়া পশ্চিমবঙ্গ পুলিশ ও প্রশাসনের নৈতিক ও সাংবিধানিক দায়িত্ব। যে বা যাঁরা রাজনৈতিক হিংসা দেখাচ্ছে তাঁদের কোনও প্রকার ছাড় দেওয়া উচিত নয় বলেও সমাজ মাধ্যমে সরব হন অভিষেক।
তৃণমূলের সর্বভারতীয় সাধারণ সম্পাদক এই মুহূর্তে চোখের চিকিৎসার জন্য দেশের বাইরে রয়েছেন। কিছুদিন আগেই একটি তাৎপর্যপূর্ণ পোস্ট করেছিলেন অভিষেক। আঘাত প্রাপ্ত চোখের ছবি দিয়ে লিখেছিলেন, লড়াই এখনও শেষ হয়নি। এদিনের দীর্ঘ পোস্টেও তিনি বুঝিয়ে দিয়েছেন যে বাংলার বর্তমান পরিস্থিতি কখনই পশ্চিমবঙ্গের মানুষের কাছে কাঙ্খিত হতে পারে না। বিরোধীদের মত প্রকাশের স্বাধীনতা থাকবে এমন রাজনৈতিক সংস্কৃতি থাকার পক্ষে সওয়াল করেছেন তিনি। বুঝিয়ে দিয়েছেন হিংসা কখনও রাজনীতির ভাষা হতে পারে না। আইন সবার জন্য সমান এবং সেটা দলীয় রাজনীতির ঊর্ধ্বে। তাই এই বাংলা ভয়ের রাজনীতির পরিবর্তে, ভালো সংস্কৃতি পাওয়ার যোগ্য বলেও মতপ্রকাশ অভিষেকের।
BENGAL HAS ENTERED A DEEPLY DISTURBING CHAPTER. What unfolded today was not merely an episode of political confrontation - it was a profoundly disturbing spectacle of violence, intimidation and institutional failure. Thousands of our workers and supporters have, over time, faced assaults, threats, intimidation and physical violence. Yet what is perhaps even more alarming is the apparent indifference of those entrusted with the solemn responsibility of maintaining law and order! Today, Humayun Kabir, a former IPS officer, was BRUTALLY ASSAULTED outside a POLICE STATION, even as the violence unfolded in full public view. When an attack can take place at the very doorstep of the institution meant to protect citizens, it raises an unbearable question: WHO, THEN, IS LEFT TO PROTECT THE PEOPLE? Earlier in the day, our party workers were subjected to violent attacks while participating in a peaceful march. Several sustained serious injuries. Behind every injury is a human being, a family, and a trauma that does not disappear. And then there is the horrifying ordeal of Upasana Chowdhury, who has repeatedly found herself at the receiving end of political violence. Her clothes were torn, her vehicle damaged and her residence pelted with heavy stones while her elderly parents were inside. Her father, a cerebral-stroke patient, remains deeply traumatised by what happened. What kind of political culture are we creating when violence is unleashed against people in the presence of their families? What kind of administration allows citizens to feel that they are more vulnerable in their own homes than anywhere else? Let this be absolutely clear: POLITICAL DIFFERENCES CANNOT BECOME A LICENCE FOR POLITICAL VIOLENCE. There must be NO IMPUNITY, NO SELECTIVE SILENCE AND NO POLITICAL SHIELDING for anyone responsible for violence. The West Bengal Police and the administration have a constitutional and moral obligation to protect every citizen, irrespective of party affiliation. Silence in the face of violence is not neutrality. When institutions fail to act against intimidation, that silence itself becomes deeply consequential. Bengal deserves better than the politics of fear. Bengal deserves a political culture where opponents can disagree without being assaulted, where workers can march without being attacked, where families can sleep without fear, and where the rule of law stands ABOVE political allegiance. This is not the Bengal we should accept. VIOLENCE MUST NOT BECOME THE LANGUAGE OF POLITICS. INTIMIDATION MUST NOT BECOME THE CURRENCY OF POWER. AND THE RULE OF LAW MUST NEVER BECOME A CASUALTY OF PARTISAN POLITICS.
